Instructions
Read entire label before using. Test in an inconspicuous place for compatibility and satisfactory seal by seeing if water beads on the surface. Allow newly applied grout to cure overnight before applying sealer. Clean existing grout thoroughly, or apply Tile Guard Grout Coating to recolor discolored or stained grout before sealing.
- Shake can well before using. Point nozzle away from yourself and at the grout line from a distance of 8-12 inches.
- Press the nozzle and spray along the grout line, avoiding excess sealer which may result in pooling or residue. If this happens, it is best to remove with a cloth while wet. A cloth dampened with warm water will easily wipe up residue when it is dried.
- At least one hour after sealing, apply a drop of water to the grout. If it does not bead up and is absorbed, another coat should be applied.
- The surface may have things placed on it when dried to the touch and full cure is achieved in 24 hours.
- Depending on traffic and wear, sealer may need to be reapplied after 2-3 years for maximum protection.
Coverag: One can will cover 500 linear feet of tiled grout. One to two coats are recommended for optimum performance.
Handling & Storage: Open container carefully. Open windows and doors when using inside.
Maintenance: We recommend Tile Guard Tile and Grout Cleaner and Tile Guard Tile Clean and Seal, for cleaning tile on a regular basis. Always use products made for cleaning your specific surfaces. Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents on treated surfaces as this may damage the surface and shorten the life of the seal. Life of the product will vary depending on the surface, wear, frequency and types of maintenance products used. Re-apply as needed to maintain maximum protection, appearance, and ease of cleaning.
