Instructions
As with all texture repair projects, protect the surrounding area from overspray. Any drywall repairs should be made before application. Practice on a piece of cardboard or drywall while making spray adjustments before applying texture to the project area.
- Shake texture bottle well. Unscrew red cap and screw pump into bottle. Turn sprayer to OFF position.
- Hold pump/texture bottle firmly and carefully cut off tip of nozzle by placing a knife blade into the groove.
- It is optional to puncture the breather hole, as it will increase the volume and size of the texture splatters.
- Select texture pattern by rotating pump body to desired position for a fine, medium or heavy texture. Spray texture with rapid pumping strokes. Begin 1 to 2 feet away from surface and work from the top down. Always rotate pump body to OFF position when not spraying to prevent dripping. Pump to clear nozzle.
- If desired pattern is not achieved, texture can be easily removed by scraping off the wall while it is still wet. Readjust the settings on the pump body and try again.
- Clean up with warm water. To save the pump for future projects, unscrew the adjuster ring and wash all parts in warm water while pumping rapidly.
- Allow texture to dry completely before painting (usually overnight).
The Touch Up sprayer can also be used to spray glitter materials onto wet paint or texture. Just pour glitter into dry bottle, adjust to the acoustic or heavy setting and spray.
