Roll-On/Spray-On Texture

Instructions

Spray-On Instructions:

  1. Pour 3 1/2 quarts (3.3 liters) of water into a separate container.
  2. Slowly add texture and mix using a drill-type mixer. Use entire bag.
  3. Mix to a smooth consistency and let stand 15 minutes. Remix and adjust thickness if necessary.
  4. After spraying, allow texture to dry 24 hours before painting.

In general, mixture should be slightly thinner when spraying a finer pattern like orangepeel and thicker to achieve a heavier splatter or knockdown look. One bag makes approximately 6 quarts with coverage of 175-400 sq. feet, depending on density of pattern.

Roll-On Instructions:

  1. Pour 3 quarts (2.8 liters) of water into a separate container.
  2. Slowly add texture and mix using a drill-type mixer. Use entire bag.
  3. Mix to a smooth consistency and let stand 15 minutes. Remix and adjust thickness if necessary.
  4. Apply texture uniformly to surface, approximately 1/16” thick, using a texture roller, paint roller or trowel. Use a paintbrush in corners where roller won’t reach.
  5. The texture roller will create a stipple effect. To achieve other decorative patterns, first smooth the texture using a wide taping knife. Then apply desired pattern using items such as a whisk broom, brushes, comb, newspaper, burlap, putty knife, sponges, etc.

Additional Info:
