Should I use a Primer?
Tinting primer may reduce need for a second coat. Use paint manufacturer’s recommendations for either oil or latex based primer.
Why can’t I add to the Primer?
Primer is a thin product, which is designed to penetrate the surface, as paint is a coating, which is designed to cover the surface. Adding Paint n’ Tex to a primer would make the desired texture change and not be effective for its intent.
