Instructions
This product has a tremendous amount of pressure in the can (105 lbs.) in order to release the polystyrene chips through an aerosol nozzle. It is very important for the user to follow the masking and spraying instructions thoroughly. Never spray the can sideways or upside down and never hold down the nozzle for more than 1 second at a time. The propellant will be released and the material cannot discharge. Clean with warm soapy water.
- Protect entire area from overspray and chip bounce back. Prep and prime area before spraying.
- Pin up a plastic curtain around the patch area to contain chip bounce and overspray. Or cut out the bottom of a small box and spray into it.
- Shake can vigorously for one minute after mixing ball rattles. Screw nozzle onto valve stem. Place fingers on each side of spray nozzle and hold approximately 9 to 14 inches from the ceiling.
- To spray, quickly trigger nozzle in quarter-second bursts, releasing the nozzle after each pass while using short, sweeping strokes. Each pass should sound like a “Cchh, Cchh, Cchh” sound. If nozzle is held down, propellant will be released in 2 to 4 seconds leaving unused material in can. Proper technique allows for 8 to 10 short application strokes.
- If painting over texture is desired, allow to dry for 24 hours.
