Instructions

  1. Use in a well-ventilated area. Wear a NIOSH/MSHA approved mist/vapor respirator when spraying or for continued or prolonged use, or for frequent use of this product.
  2. All cutting should be complete before application.
  3. Wood must be clean, dry and free from previous finishes.
  4. Apply by soaking, low-pressure spraying or brushing on multiple coats. The most effective treatment is obtained with pressure treating or extended soaking where deep penetration and high absorption are obtained. A soaking period of five minutes per inch of thickness is recommended. Pay particular attention to the treatment of joints and exposed end grain of the wood. It is here that moisture absorption is many times greater than the flat or edge grain surfaces.

Warnings:

  • Caution! Harmful if swallowed. Causes moderate eye irritation. Avoid contact with skin, eyes or clothing. Do not take internally. Avoid breathing of vapors. Use only in well-ventilated area. Vapors may cause injury if adequate ventilation is not insured. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Close container after each use. Keep preservative and freshly treated wood away from flame, foodstuffs and plants. Do not use this product in any confined area where the vapors may concentrate and cause injury to plant or animal life.
  • Combustible: Do not use or store near heat or open flame. Close container after each use.

First Aid:

  • If In Eyes: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for 15-20 minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present, after the first 5 minutes, then continue rinsing eye. Call a Poison Control Center or doctor for treatment advice.
    If Swallowed: Call Poison Control Center or doctor immediately for treatment advice. Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce vomiting unless told to do so by the Poison Control Center or doctor.
    Note To Physician: Probable mucosal damage may containdicate the use of gastric lavage. Contains Petroleum Distillates.

Environmental Standards:

  • This product is toxic to fish. For terrestrial uses, do not apply directly to water, or to areas water is present or to inter-tidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment wash waters.
