Instructions

  1. Use protective gloves. Unscrew cap slowly so vapor can escape.
  2. Flow or brush on a thick coat in one direction only. Do not brush back and forth. Do a small area (6-sq. ft.) at a time.
  3. Allow to set 5-15 minutes, and then test for adhesive softness. To keep remover wet for a longer period and increase penetration, place aluminum foil over area.
  4. When soft, use a spatula, scraper or putty knife to remove adhesive; stubborn spots may need a second application.
  5. After removal of adhesive, wet mop area and allow to dry thoroughly before applying mastic or adhesive for installation of new tile or covering.

Test Sealer Removal: Follow steps 1-4 in a square foot inconspicuous area. Test surface when clean and dry with drops of water. If water does not penetrate, sealer has not been removed.

Storage: Store in a cool, dry place. High-quality removers are chemically active and may rust cans and leak after prolonged storage.

Warnings:

  • Poison: Contains Methylene Chloride and Methanol.
  • Methylene Chloride has been shown to cause cancer in certain laboratory animals. Risk to your health depends on level and duration of exposure.
  • Use this product outdoors if possible. If you must use it indoors, open all windows and doors or use other means to assure fresh air movement during application and drying.
  • Dust mask does not provide protection against vapors.
  • Do not use in basement or other unventilated areas.
  • Open container carefully and close after each use. Clean up rags, papers, and waste promptly. Allow solvent to evaporate. Dispose of in metal can.
  • Keep away from heat and flame. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
  • Keep out of reach of children.

First Aid:

  • If swallowed, immediately give 1 or 2 glasses of water and call a Physician, Hospital Emergency Room or Poison Control Center for way to induce vomiting. In case of eye contact, immediately flush with water and call a Physician. For skin contact, wash thoroughly with cold water and call a physician if irritation persists.
