Troubleshooting

Caution: Wear safety goggles when mixing. Sparks from drill motors can ignite fumes from flammable liquids.

  • What is the RPM level used for thick viscosity materials?

    - Thick viscosity materials such as cementations materials, joint compounds, and slurry are mixed most efficiently by increasing the rpm levels above 1, 500 rpm. In fact, some of our customers push the rpm levels to about 2, 500 or more. These higher rpm levels allow the mixture to pull from the bottom and sides of the container.
  • Can it be used in xyz material?

    - Yes, When mixing caustic or corrosive material, it is advantageous to remove the Squirrel Mixer from the material when mixing is completed.
  • Do you have one that works with abc size container?

    - Yes, Squirrel Mixers come in sizes which accommodate use in quart containers all the way up to thousand gallon vats.
  • Does it come with a motor attached?

    - No. However, this has been asked and suggested by other consumers. As a result of our customers’ asking and requesting this, we are looking into the merits of a self-contained Squirrel Mixer.
  • Does it work in high viscosity (thicker) materials and what kind of power rating is needed?

    - Yes, Basic rule is the thicker the material being mixer - the faster the Squirrel Mixer should be rotated. Additionally, unlike competitor mixers, Squirrel Mixers pull material off the container bottom much like you see the top inlet doing as evidenced by a vortex. As a result, do not push the mixing cage all the way to the bottom.
  • Can the mixers mix paint additives?

    - Yes it can, you just need to raise the RPM on the drill.
