Instructions

  1. It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
  2. Use only the application method specified for a particular use.
  3. For exterior use only.
  4. Stir or shake well before using.
  5. Apply by brush, dip, roll, or spray.
  6. Cleans up with soap and water.
  7. Above Ground Contact: The best results will be obtained if wood to be treated is immersed for 3 minutes or longer. If dipping is not possible, 2 brush coats, roller, or spray applications should be applied. Allow at least 1 hour between applications. Make certain all areas are fully treated to get the maximum benefits. Allow 24 hours or longer after application of the preservative prior to painting.
  8. Ground Contact: Seasoned or green wood may be treated. Make certain the wood is free of bark, then immerse in Copper-Brown for 12 to 48 hours or until the sapwood is completely penetrated.

Warnings:

  • Danger: Causes irreversible eye damage. Do not get in eyes, on skin or clothing. Wear goggles or face shield.
  • Do not breath vapors or mist during brush, roll, spray, and dip applications. Wear a NIOSH/MHSA approved mist/vapor respirator when spraying for continued or prolonged use of this product or for frequent use of this product.

  • Application of this product may produce strong, lingering, unpleasant odor.

Environmental Hazard: This pesticide is toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Do not discharge effluent containing this product into lakes, streams, ponds, estuaries, oceans, or public waters unless in accordance with the requirements of a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permit and the permitting authority has been notified in your State Water Board or Regional Office of the EPA.

Physical & Chemical Hazards: Do not use or store near heat or open flame. Should not be used where it may come in contact with food, feed or portable water.

First Aid:

  • If In Eyes: hold eyelids open and flush with a steady, gentle stream of water for 15 minutes.
    If Inhaled: remove victim to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferably mouth to mouth. GET MEDICAL ATTENTION.

Pesticide Disposal:


Pesticide wastes are acutely hazardous. Improper disposal of excess pesticide, spray mixture, or rinsate is a violation of Federal Law. If these wastes cannot be disposed of according to label directions, contact your State or Environmental Control Agency, or the Hazardous Waster representative at the nearest EPA Regional Office for guidance.
