Instructions

  1. For Exterior Use Only. It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.
  2. Paint, varnish, wax or other films and all bark must be removed before applying TERMIN-8. All unsound wood should be removed at least 2 feet beyond any visible evidence of decay to control termites, carpenter ants, and powder-post beetles. Wood must be normally dry.
  3. Aboveground Wood: Soak wood for at least 3 minutes for best results. If this is not possible, apply 2 coats by brush, roller or low-pressure spray. Cover all surfaces.
  4. Belowground Wood: Soak wood for 12 to 24 hours covering 6 inches above ground level. If not possible, apply 2 heavy coats within 10 minutes of each other.
  5. Pressure-Treated Wood: Apply a generous coat to exposed surfaces from cutting, sanding or boring pressure-treated wood.

Warnings:

  • Causes substantial but temporary eye injury. Harmful or fatal if swallowed or absorbed through the skin. Do not get in eyes, on skin, or on clothing. Wash thoroughly with soap and water after handling. Remove contaminated clothing and wash before each reuse. Avoid breathing spray mist or vapors. Wear goggles or face shields and rubber gloves when handling TERMIN-8. DO NOT breathe vapors during brush, roll, spray, and dip applications. Wear a NIOSH/MSHA approved respirator when spraying for continued use of this product, or for frequent use of this product.

First Aid:

  • If In Eyes: immediately flush with large quantity of water and get medical treatment.
    If On Skin: Flush with water. Remove and wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
    If Swallowed: Do not induce vomiting. CALL A DOCTOR.

Storage and Disposal

  • Prohibitions: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal.
    Pesticide Disposal: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility.
    Container Disposal: U.S. Quart / 1 Gallon containers: Do not reuse empty container. Securely wrap original container in several layers of newspaper, and discard in trash.
    General: Consult Federal, State or local disposal authorities for approved alternative procedures.

Environmental Hazards:

  • This product is toxic to fish. For terrestrial uses, do not apply directly to water, or to areas where water is present or to inter-tidal areas below the mean high water mark. Do not contaminate water when disposing of equipment or disposal of wastes.

Physical and Chemical Hazards:

  • Combustible. Do not use or store near heat or open flame. Close container after each use.
