Instructions
Caution should be used when using the product. Keep away from heat, sparks or open flame as Rubberize-It! is extremely flammable. Keep cans away from prolonged exposure to sun and heat to avoid bursting. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
Dipping:
- Shake can prior to opening. Surface to be coated must be clean and free of grease, oil, dirt, rust or loose paint. Do not apply in direct sunlight or under windy conditions.
- Attach wire or string to tool (for hanging tool during drying).
- Immerse tool slowly and withdraw slowly – about one inch every 5 seconds.
- Hang tool to dry. Do not hang above open Rubberize-It! container. Vapors from container may cause dripping or sagging.
- Additional coats: Allow overnight drying between coats.
- Drying time at 70° F to touch is approximately four hours. Allow 24 hours drying time before using tool.
- Keep container tightly closed when not in use. (Replace plastic lid.)
Brushing:
- Shake can prior to opening. Surface to be coated must be clean and free of grease, oil, dirt, rust or loose paint. Do not apply in direct sunlight or under windy conditions.
- Thin to desired consistency with mineral spirits.
- Use a soft bristle brush to apply. Use short strokes. Avoid overlapping freshly dried areas.
