Instructions
Welder can be used on plastic, wood, metal, rubber, vinyl, cloth, tile, ceramic, glass, Formica, cement, brick and more. It is available in a large long-lasting four-ounce tube with a tapered applicator tip for precise placement of the adhesive.
- Protect the work surface.
- Pierce tube seal with point on cap.
- Clean surfaces thoroughly.
- Apply directly from tube. For small, hard to reach areas, use a toothpick or cotton swab.
- To bond two surfaces, apply adhesive to each surface, let stand 5-10 minutes, and press firmly together.
- Allow to dry overnight. Maximum strength is reached in 24 hours.
Additional Hints:
If the surface is extremely porous, rough, or uneven, apply several thin coats to each surface, allowing each to stand ten minutes to create a thick coat before joining. On glazed, smooth, or shiny surfaces, buff lightly with #00 steel wool for better adhesion.
When using as a sealant, double the amount to allow for shrinkage and evaporation. Repair vinyl by working Welder behind both sides and then covering with a strong piece of adhesive tape. Remove excess by rubbing gently with an eraser. It is important to wash raincoats, rain boots, and all vinyl or rubber items with a strong detergent before using Welder.
Welder is soluble in gasoline, oil, toluene and mineral spirits. Some compositions such as asphalt, tile, certain fabrics, and rigid foams can be affected by Welder and should be tested in an inconspicuous area. Do not use of Polyurethane, polypropylene, polystyrene, or Teflon.
