Instructions
Surface must be clean and dry. You must remove all soap scum, dirt and silicone caulk from area to which adhesive will bond.
- Use rubbing alcohol as the final cleaning step. Existing grout or other caulking must be trimmed flush with tile surface, but not necessarily entirely removed, for proper fit of Counter Trim.
- Measure the distance to be sealed. If that distance includes a corner, deduct 3/8” (space occupied by corner joint) from your total measurement before you cut the strip. Mark the wall at the 3/8” measurement as well.
- Measure and cut the strips accordingly, and position. While holding the strip on the horizontal surface (counter), gradually remove release paper to expose the adhesive and press the strip against the vertical surface (wall).
Reminder: Leave 3/8” space to accept corner piece(s). Repeat procedure for remaining lengths. Apply thumb pressure along all lengths to ensure good adhesion. - Remove butyl adhesive from leftover strip and affix to back of corner joint. Press into corner, covering cut end of strip. Repeat for all corners.
