Tuff-Job Remover

Tuff-Job Remover

Instructions

  1. Dab on the heaviest coat of BIX TUFF-JOB with a nylon bristle brush. Do not brush back and forth. Paint is always much thicker in grooves. Recoat grooves to allow remover to penetrate to the bottom of the groove.
  2. Check for dry spots; apply Remover to those areas.
  3. LET THE REMOVER DO THE WORK! Many coats of old paint may require several minutes before removal. The time required varies with the thickness and type of coating. Even if another coat of remover is necessary, wait until bottom coat is completely dissolved before scraping. Do not use a different stripper or paint remover on the same job.
  4. Use a plastic putty knife to scrape off dissolved finish. Clean carvings and grooves with a scrub brush. Use dry #2 coarse steel wool to scrub stubborn spots.
  5. Reapply a light coat of remover. The chemicals are essential to the cleaning process. Make sure the finish is completely dissolved before washing.
  6. TO RETAIN NATURAL COLOR AND PATINA — do not use water-scrub with mineral spirits and coarse steel wool. Use brush to clean grooves, wipe clean with dry cloth.
  7. TO REMOVE STAIN — scrub with water using coarse steel wool on flat surface; use brush on grooves. Rinse with clean water and wipe with dry cloth. Let dry 24 hours after washing before sanding or finishing.

Storage: Close cap tightly and store in upright position after each use and before transporting.
