Prep & Primer

Prep & Primer

Prep & Primer

Instructions

  1. Wire brush or sand scaling paint, dirt, on loose or heavily rusted areas (tight rust needs not be removed). Use paint thinner for oil and grease.
  2. For sensitive skin or prolonged exposure, wear rubber gloves and protective mask.
  3. Apply Prep & Primer directly to metal by brush, roller, mop or low-pressure spray. Heavy rust may need two applications.
  4. Rusted and Old Metal: Wait over night; dust off any powder, prime then paint. Oil-base primer and paint are recommended on any metal. Test a small area for compatibility when using epoxy or latex paint.
  5. Galvanized: Oil-based paint can be applied when Prep & Primer is dry. Latex paint can be applied when Prep & Primer is thoroughly rinsed off within 30-60 minutes, or after an oil-base primer is applied to a dry surface.
  6. Rub clean, let dry thoroughly and apply new finish.
  • Protect plants, concrete, masonry and paint from overspray and flush immediately with water if contact is made.
