Instructions

Liquid Application:

  1. Use protective gloves. Unscrew cap slowly so vapor can escape.
  2. Pour some remover into a wide-mouthed jar.
  3. With old or inexpensive new brush, flow on a thick coat in one direction.
  4. Allow to set 5-15 minutes or until surface is blistered.
  5. Remove finish with water*, spatula, steel wool or cloth.
*Care should be taken on wood surfaces, as water can raise grain.
  6. Rub clean, let dry thoroughly and apply new finish.
  7. Store in a cool, dry place. High-quality removers are chemically active and may rust cans and leak after prolonged storage.

Spray Application:

  1. Protect nearby areas from overspray and wear gloves and goggles. Latex gloves are not sufficient. Neoprene or chemical resistant gloves only. Dust masks do not provide protection against vapors. Use an Organic Vapor Respirator.
  2. Use only in well-ventilated area. Preferably outdoors.
  3. Point nozzle approximately 8” from area to be sprayed. Spray on liberally. Allow to run down a vertical surface. Wait 10 minutes. To increase penetration, cover with aluminum foil.
  4. When varnish or paint wrinkles or softens, remove with a putty knife, scraper, steel wool or rags. For molding or rough uneven surfaces, use brush or steel wool.
  5. The surface may be cleaned by washing with water or lacquer thinner. Do not use water on fine wood or veneer surfaces.
  6. Dispose of residue in accordance with local regulations.
