September 23, 2005 - Homax launches www.testyourlunchbox.com

BELLINGHAM, WA, February 12, 2005 - Homax launches www.testyourlunchbox.com to help raise awareness about lead containing vinyl childrens lunchboxes after a recent national scare raises concerns over the safety of childrens lunchboxes with vinyl linings containing lead. Homax's LeadCheck® is a safe, effective, and easy to use way of testing your lunchboxes for lead contamination.

The Presence of lead in childrens lunchboxes has been announced by the Center for Environmental Health, www.cehca.com. The only way to know if your childs lunchbox is safe is to test it for the presence of lead. Homax’s LeadCheck® is a safe and effective do it yourself lead test kit that will help you to determine if your lunchbox is safe. Lead is a dangerous toxin, and simple contact with items that contain lead can result in elevated blood-lead levels and lead poisoning. Lead is present in products like blinds & mini blinds, toys, many ceramics, older fine china dishware, and paint in houses built before 1979. It’s always wise to check items in your house that might have lead in them, particularly if they’re handled by children.

Homax's LeadCheck® page, www.homaxproducts.com/LeadCheck®/ has very clear and detailed information about testing for lead on lunchboxes, as well as on many other items in your home. We encourage you to visit Homax's LeadCheck® page to learn more. You can also find LeadCheck® at one your favorite retailers listed below. We encourage you to call your local store to make sure they have LeadCheck® in stock. You can find LeadCheck® at leading retailers, including Lowe’s, Home Depot, True Value, Menards, Sherwin-Williams, and Do It Best.

Protect your family. Check your lunchbox for the presence of lead.
