BELLINGHAM, WA, December 3, 2004 - Homax Holdings, Inc., has acquired consumer products company Osmegen, Inc., Ross Clawson, Homax’s president announced today.
Osmegen, based in Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, is a manufacturer and marketer of odor control products for the household and pet industries. Established in 1993, Osmegen develops and markets solid gel air fresheners and liquid spray odor removers under the Natural Magic® brand name. Natural Magic products are sold through leading retailers, including home centers, mass merchandisers, grocery and hardware stores.
Homax Holdings, Inc. is a leading supplier of high-quality specialty consumer and contractor products, including drywall texturing and repair items, painting accessories, paint strippers and specialty removers, steel wool abrasives, cleaning products, and kitchen and bath accessories. Homax Holdings brand names include Goo Gone, Homax, Magic American, Gonzo, Jasco, Krusin, Tile Care, Rhodes American, Site-b, BIX, and now Natural Magic. These products are sold to professional painters, decorators, and do-it-yourself consumers through paint stores, home centers, mass merchandisers, hardware stores, and grocery and specialty retailers.
Homax Holdings, Inc. is owned by Olympus Partners, based in Stamford, CT. Olympus Partners, with approximately $1.2 billion under management, is a 15-year-old private equity firm focused on long-term growth.
