General Labor
Receives, unpacks, checks and stores merchandise or materials. Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment, records shipment data; including weight, charges, cartons and skids.
The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Picking, counting, packaging, weighing, bagging and labeling customer orders for shipment
- Use warehouse tools (wrapping machine, banding machine, labeling equipment)
- Build pallets as needed for customer orders and truck shipments
- Receives incoming material, products or supplies counts and verifies documentation that matches physically received items
- Maintains high quality housekeeping standards
Knowledge, skills, and abilities desired:
- Must be able to read and understand English
- Must have attention to detail
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to lift carry up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to climb a ladder
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have experience in distribution/warehousing with a stable work history
- Must have clear and legible writing
- Experience with forklift and pallet jack is helpful
- Experience with cycle counting and inventory helpful
- Must have a positive attitude
