401 (k) Savings and Investment Plan
- Homax offers very competitive 401(k) plans, with a broad range of investment options to choose from. Eligible employees who enroll in the 401(k) plan may save and invest their elected percentages of their income with pre-tax dollars. The plans have an excellent website and customer service team available to assist our employees with questions and investment changes.
Salaries
- From entry-level on up, Homax salaries are competitive with salaries at similar companies.
Health Insurance
- Homax provides medical, vision and dental insurance to all employees who work an average of 30 hours or more per week. Employees working between 30 and 40 hours per week will pay a portion of their premiums with a payroll deduction. Eligible dependents may also be covered through a modest payroll deduction plan.
Time to Relax:
- We provide a holiday schedule that gives you time off to recharge and a generous vacation accrual schedule.
Worker’s Compensation Insurance:
- Homax contributes the entire portion of the Worker’s Compensation premium. Although required by law, only a portion is required to be paid by the employer.

Company Events:
- Homax strives to engender a sense of teamwork and belonging by participating in various social events. These include company trips to Whistler Blackcomb Ski Resort, sponsorship of the Abbotsford Airshow, and team particpation in Whatcom County’s Ski To Sea Race. We also strive to be an example to the community by participating in blood drives and other charity events.
Jury Duty:
- In recognition of your responsibility as a citizen, if you serve on a jury, Homax will pay you the amount of your normal pay for the time lost up to 10 days per year. Serving on a jury for a lengthy trial will be evaluated fairly on a case-by-case basis.
Bereavement Leave:
- As a measure of concern to employees who lose members of their families, generous amounts of sick leave will be provided. Also, requests for extended time off will be considered fairly in light of extenuating circumstances.
Employee Assistance Program
- A confidential outside service available to full-time and regular part-time employees that offers evaluation and short-term problem resolution for employees' personal problems.
