Directions

Homax® Stone Roll-On Paint Texture enables you to texture and paint in one easy step. Works great on drywall, wallpaper, wood paneling, cement block, plaster, brick and stucco. For best results, please follow the directions below.

Note: Coverage will vary according to the heaviness of the texture, type of wall surface and paint used.

Preparation: Surface should be clean and dry. Dull glossy surfaces with sandpaper and repair any holes or cracks. Treat stains and porous surfaces with primer/sealer.

Mixing Instructions: Use of a dust mask is recommended. In a separate container, mix one package of Suede Texture and one gallon of paint.

Add material slowly to prevent clumping. Depending on desired texture, you can add more or less Suede Texture. Stir occasionally to keep texture suspended in paint.

To Apply: Pour mixture into paint tray. Using a 3/8" nap roller cover, saturate roller completely. Load roller with material and apply to surface using medium pressure. Roll out material in one direction, then load roller again and apply in opposite direction (cross-rolling) in order to even out and build up texture. Stir occasionally. Any clumps can be wiped off and rolled over until texture covers.

Helpful Hints: Always follow paint manufacturer’s recommendations for application and surface preparation. Adding any material to paint will reduce paint coverage. Results may vary depending on quality of paint, type of surface, amount of Stone Texture mixed, and thickness of application.

WARNING! Contains Silica and Quartz. Crystalline Silica (Quartz) can cause lung cancer and other lung damage if inhaled, depending on duration and level of exposure. Use only with adequate ventilation. Do not breathe dust. Exposure to dust can be avoided by wearing an appropriate NIOSH approved particulate respirator. Follow respirator manufacturer’s directions for respirator use. Avoid contact with eyes, skin and clothing. Wash thoroughly after handling.

FIRST AID: If inhaled, remove to fresh air. If breathing difficulty continues, get medical attention immediately. In case of eye contact, immediately flush with water for at least 15 minutes. If symptoms persist, call physician immediately. If swallowed, get medical attention.
