Application Details

TexPro Texture System operates differently than a typical hopper gun–take time to understand how it works and practice using this new system before you attempt your first job.

  1. Set up sprayer
  • Install front gasket in front cap; install rear gasket in rear cap; select & install spray tip; connect air shut-off valve & set to off position

2. Inspect sprayer before every use

  • See user manual for step-by-step instruction with photos.

3. Choose a texture cartridge

  • Select light or heavy texture for desired appearance & job conditions

4. Prepare cartridge

  • Cut cartridge tip; puncture seal inside tip

5. Load cartridge

  • With air shut-off valve “off”, compressor power disconnected, and front cap latched closed – load cartridge: Open rear cap. Insert prepared cartridge.

6. Setup compressor

  • Use a compressor (sold separately) that delivers 2.6 scfm or greater; higher compressor pressure = finer splatter patterns; lower compressor pressure = heavier splatter

7. Prepare to spray

  • Put on protective wear. Protect surroundings from overspray. Prepare surface for texture following instructions on texture cartridge.

8. Start to spray

  • Start compressor and turn air shut-off valve to on position. Begin spraying holding sprayer tip 4 feet from wall. Control size of texture pattern by a choice of spray tip, compressor output pressure, and sprayer regulator pressure.

9. Stopping spray

  • Release trigger. After releasing trigger, spray will continue from nozzle for 3 seconds. Ensure sprayer is pointed at surface until spray completely stops.

10. Cleaning

  • After use, disconnect power to air compressor and remove components. Clean each component. Allow parts to dry before replacing in case.

WARNING: BEFORE HANDLING THE TEXTURE SPRAYER OR WHEN YOU STOP SPRAYING OR ARE REMOVING ANY EQUIPMENT PARTS:

1. SHUT OFF AIR SOURCE AT AIR COMPRESSOR
2. DISCONNECT AIR COMPRESSOR POWER SOURCE
