Homax® Orange Peel Oil Based Texture is the fastest way to patch “orange peel” drywall textures.  Variations in the orange peel texture (also called splatter or eggshell) help hide surface imperfections, while reflecting light and adding interest to a room. Our oil-based texture excels at replicating a wide range of orange peel texture patterns so you can get professional results fast.  Drying in as little as five minutes, it can be painted over to blend into the surrounding surface.

Features:

  • Match existing interior wall texture
  • No more bald spots
  • Convenient aerosol application
  • Just shake the can, adjust the nozzle and spray
  • Adjusts to spray fine to heavy orange peel wall textures
  • Fast drying, oil-based formula
  • Covers up to 110 sq. ft.

Application Details

DIRECTIONS FOR USE: MAKE ANY NECESSARY WALL REPAIRS BEFORE APPLYING. FOR BEST RESULTS, PRIME/SEAL AREA BEFORE AND AFTER APPLYING TEXTURE.

  1. Shake can vigorously for one minute prior to use.
  2. Twist off safety tab from nozzle.
  3. Always practice spraying on cardboard or scrap drywall to determine preferred pattern. Pointing away from face, adjust dial to desired pattern. CLOCKWISE for FINE. STRAIGHT UP for MEDIUM. COUNTER CLOCKWISE for HEAVY.
  4. Spray at a distance of 24”-36” from wall using a circular, or quick sweeping motion. Apply in random pattern, covering only 80-90% of surface. Shake can occasionally throughout use. DRY TIME: Allow to dry 5-30 minutes (depending on heaviness of texture) before priming and painting. Heavier textures may require a longer dry time.
  5. To store, clear nozzle by turning can upside and spraying until texture is cleared.
