Homax® 2 Piece Caulking Tool Kit is specifically designed to make the tough task of caulk removal easy and fast without damaging surfaces. The two piece kit comes with a Caulk Removal Tool to remove dried caulk from cracks and crevices and a Caulk Finisher Tool that forces caulk into joints and smooths for a Perfect Bead®. Ideal for use in showers, windows, siding, sinks and tubs with latex, silicone or acrylic caulk.

Caulking tubs, sinks and showers is one of those do-it-yourself tasks we love to hate. Homax® makes it easier to remove old caulk and re-apply the Perfect Bead®.

Homax 2 Piece Caulking Tool Kit is specifically designed to make the tough task of caulk removal easy and fast without damaging surfaces. Ideal for use in showers, windows, siding, sinks and tubs with latex, silicone or acrylic caulk. This value-packed 2 piece kit comes with:

  • Caulk Remover Tool – Sharp angled tip removes hard dried caulk from cracks and crevices

Application Details

The Homax® 2 Piece Caulking Tool Kit gives you the tools you need for a quick and easy caulk job. For best results, please follow the directions for each tool below.

Step 1: Remove old caulk with the Caulk Remover tool.

  1. Grip rubber handle.
  2. Place tip into caulk-filled crevice.
  3. Apply slight pressure and move the Caulk Remover tool in a forward and backward motion.
  4. Turn over tool to flat surface and remove caulk residue/film from surface.

CAUTION: The Caulk Remover is a sharp tool. Protective gloves and eye wear are recommended. If used incorrectly, damage to surface is possible.

Step 2: Apply new caulk using the Caulk Finisher

  1. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free of old caulk and debris.
  2. Apply a bead of caulk sparingly to the crack.
  3. Hold the Caulk Finisher at a 45° angle, forcing the sides of the rubber head to touch both surfaces. Drag tool along the edge, pulling towards you to smooth the bead.
  4. Wipe away excess caulk from tool frequently with a paper towel.

NOTE: Allow caulk to dry according to caulk manufacturer’s recommendation.
